Church Fast
Join us for a time of corporate fasting from January 8th – January 29th. This Daniel fast will end as we come together for our Sunday morning service on the 29th. This is also our Feast Fellowship Sunday so please plan on bringing a covered dish or dessert to share with everyone.

I am so excited about what God is going to do in this new year (2012). I believe that this fast is going to give us that sharpened edge we are going to need. New dreams, New ideas, New fruit, New gifts. Coming together fasting UNITED as a corporate body will cause KLFC to gain the POWER we need to see those signs, miracles and wonders come to pass. “PRAISE HIM!!”
Choosing to fast is choosing to come away from the routine and wait upon the Lord with GREATER intensity, seeking His face and His presence in a deeper way.
Hey, I’m really excited about this too! God is moving in the valley. Big Dan and I hit seventh street today and it was just awesome to talk and pray with people. This is the year of prayer and evangelism!

God’s Favor
May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us – yes establish the work of our hands.
Psalm 90:17
In all you do, seek the favor of the Lord. Be obedient in everything God is calling you to do. If you are a stay-at-home mom, seek God’s favor as you raise those precious little ones. If you are a professional, seek God’s favor in the workplace. This shows integrity of character.
We all have special gifts. Are you using your gift to the glory of God? You will stay in his favor when you daily seek his will for your life and then live that life in obedience. There are days when this won’t be easy. On the difficult days, cling to this verse to get you through the day.
Prayer: Lord, I praise your name. I seek your favor to rest upon me and help me through those difficult days that come along. Amen
I read this article and It spoke life into me and I am praying it will do the same for you…
2 Timothy 1:7 says; God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.
One thing that jumped out at me today as I read this scripture was this; God has not given us a SPIRIT of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. This means He has given us a SPIRIT of power, a SPIRIT of love and a SPIRIT of a sound mind. This power, love and sound mind comes directly from the HOLY SPIRIT. It is an empowering from God to have POWER, LOVE and a sound MIND, backed by all the power of the Holy Spirit. Think about that. God hasn’t just given us power, love and a sound mind – He has given us a spirit of power, love and a sound mind infused with power from the Holy Spirit Himself. This power, love and a sound mind is unfailing, undefeated and sure.
Now, let’s look at this verse closely. We now know what the word ‘spirit’ means in this verse, let’s look at the word ‘fear.’ The word fear means timidity, fearfulness and dread. God has not given you a spirit of timidity, fearfulness and dread. There is no reason for you to be fearful, regardless of what is going on in the world and there is no reason to dread. God has seen your tomorrows and He is not afraid, He laughs at His enemies and we should do the same thing.
Let’s look at what He has given us. First of all He has given us a spirit of power. This means He has endued us with power for strength and ability. He has given us the Holy Spirits power for strength, resources, capability and power. Isn’t that awesome! Can anything stand against that? No, I think not.
Next, He has given us a spirit of love. This one I found interesting. It is talking about the love of God in us to love the unlovable and to love those who hurt and come against us. Oh, this is exciting!
Lastly, He HAS GIVEN us the spirit of a sound mind. This means He has given us the power to remain temperate no matter what is going on around us. He has given us the power to stay at peace in our senses, to curb all impulses and remain self-controlled in our mind and emotions. This is something that will be much needed during this year – how awesome is our God that He would provide us with a sound mind before we even need it. We have no reason to be afraid, we have no need to dread, regardless of what we hear or what we see – we have been given the power from the Holy Spirit to remain calm and at peace at all times. It is time we lay hold of this promise and walk in it. As we do that, the world will see we are a different people, a people of peace in the midst of challenge…God’s people should look different, we will look different – we are a people of peace – we are empowered to be a people of peace. As we walk in this peace, I believe people will be drawn to the God in us.
Let’s lay hold of these promises and begin to act like the people we are…strong people of God.

God Bless everyone as we begin this fast….. I went on a couple of websites too, to get ideas for meals so we could have something cooked and ready to go when dinnner rolled around. Tonight I made Stir Fry Veggies with Bown Rice! We made it through our first day. Thank you, Jesus, for keeping us all strong.

FYI, if you take fresh or frozen fruit slice it and place it into a pitcher of water, the water will soak up the juice from the fruit and you have yourself flavored water
Today I am meditating on Ephesians 4:17-32. We are living as children of light. Apples, strawberries, almonds and carrots for lunch, yum! I did have a mid morning slump though, fell asleep in the recliner. But my son dragged me back up, now I’m feeling better.
Day 2 & God has already been working & revealing things to me in the spirit !
this fast is going to move mountains !!!!!!!!

Day 5 and feeling like I’ve been hit by a truck but pressin’ through!! Not minding the change in diet/food as much as I thought I would. Standing and believing for signs, wonders and miracles by the amazing God that we serve! So excited for 2012!

Remember everyone, We are Pitbulls in the spirit doing damage to the kingdom of darkness. We prayed last night for all ofyou last night at thursday night prayer. So just recieve is abundance of mercy and grace. And that will give u much strength to stay the course. Good job everybody. Remember WE CAN yes WE CAN DO ALL THINGS THRU CHRIST WHO INFUSES INNERSTRENTH TO US.

Well it’s almost been one week (praise God). I pray for strength for everyone during the fast and for break through in our live and @ klfc. We can make it!!
Have some awesome food finds for the fast keeping our house on track veggie cheese, veggie cheese less pizza and popcorn chips and they taste good too pressing through the 1st week which was probably the toughest but watching all the breakthroughs!
Day 11…This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”

We can do this! We are right in the middle of our fasting and praying and we are feeling stronger than ever. Thank you Jesus!

I believe that our imput determines our output. . . . I’m reminded of the scripture in Psalm
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; NO GOOD THING WILL HE WITHHOLD FROM THOSE WHO WALK UPRIGHTLY.” Psalm 84.11
Hi everyone one, the lord put it on my heart a couple of weeks ago. That i needed to, along with my fasting to sew a seed. It is called a first fruits seed offering. So i wanted to put it out there for all my brothers and sisters.and just encourage you to ask jesus if that applies to you. something wonderful and supernatural happens when u sacrificially sew a seed at the first of the year. Coupled with fasting.
